I just want to share with you the blessings in my life this
past weekend. Sunday was my celebration/going
away party with the Middle School and High School students at my church, where
I have worked as the Middle School Youth Minister for the past three years. It was incredible. There were 200-300 students and their parents
there in support. I was able to share
with everyone where we are planning to go and some of the things that we will
be doing. A few students and parents were
asked to speak about the influence that I made on them and their children. It was really amazing to not only see the influence
that you have made but also to hear it.
How simple little things can make such a huge impact on other people’s
life. This really made me think about
the next 11 months of our lives. By
giving up a year of our lives to help people in need is going to be great in so
many different ways. We are going to
make an impact on people because of the power that Christ has given us and
wants us to share with others. It will
be more than likely that we will never meet these people that we will be
serving ever again but by God’s power our actions will change their lives
forever. Even if we never get the chance
to hear it from their own lips we can rest assured that we have impacted their
lives. God has so much in store for us
over these next 11 months. Never underestimate
or doubt what He wants to do in your life.
A collection was also taken up during the service and over $2,300 was
given by these students and their families.
For those of you who are struggling with funds just remember to place
you trust in God. He cannot wait to so
you how BIG He really is.
