“There are no ordinary
people. You have never talked to a mere
mortal.  Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations – these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat.  But it is immortals whom we joke with, work
with, marry, snub, and exploit – immortal horrors or everlasting splendors.â€
– C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory

How would your life be different if you viewed people this
way?   Think about the fact you are
immortal.  Your spirit will live forever
in “immortal horrors or everlasting splendors.â€   The same goes for the people that you
encounter in your daily life and the people that you will never meet.  What if we lived our lives as Christ did by
making the most out of every opportunity to share the love of God.  What if you lived every day knowing that
Heaven and Hell are real places and that all people will be in one or the other
someday.  I do not say these things to
scare you, put pressure on you or to make you feel that you have fallen short.  God is in charge of all.  He has already set His plans in motion before
the world was even created.  The truth is
that even though God has more power then we could even begin to understand, He
still wants to use us to complete His will.
It is His joy to watch us follow His will for our lives.  To realize that, “There are no ordinary people.â€  That sharing the love of God  with meaning and purpose can make a difference
in the lives of others.  I would
challenge you not to wait until you leave the country to start living the way
that God has designed you.  It’s very
simple, love God and love people and everything else will fall into place.
