We are now in our second ministry site here in Moldova and are in a village (or willage as they say J We have discovered that most people around the world cannot say v so they use w instead J ). Village life is so different from our last ministry site! Everything here is laid back and there is a true community here. It reminds me of back in Guatemala and the church community that was there. People are here for each other and are so hospitable! The ladies from the church cook us food and I mean FOOD! So much food and they are always bringing us food (like corn or tomatoes or peaches!). They will not let us pay for anything- food, lodging,- nothing. They are a huge blessing to us and I only hope  we can be a blessing to them as well! People are always stopping by the house we are staying at and just saying hi or seeing if we need anything. One night we went to the local store to see if they had milk for in the morning, but they did not. About 30 minutes later a guy from the church comes and asks us if we need any milk (someone from the store told him that we had asked for milk but that they did not have any). The next morning he brought us milk and it must have come straight from the cow!!! They keep on showing us what it means to serve each other!

So far we have helped a little bit with construction- they are in the process of building a new church so we have been able to help some with that. The pastor owns a peach tree farm so we were able to help one day pick peaches. One day we went over to a lady’s house for lunch and just enjoyed getting to talk with her for a couple hours. Then we have days like today when the Pastor tell us to just relax J (By now when someone tells us to relax, we relax! God always knows what we need and this is probably in preparation for what is to come ahead!!).
