We have been here in Moldova for about 2 weeks now and have already been in 2 different ministry locations! For about 10 days we were in Leova- a small town/city- and worked with a local pastor. When we got there we started to work with children in the afternoon playing sports and in the mornings we would go evangelize and try to talk with people. Later on during the week we were supposed to go to an orphanage, but the kids were at camp so it
seemed we were back to square one again. We all felt that some of our ministry should be praying and interceding for these people, the city, and the country. The people here are so bound by religious traditions and Orthodox religion here is trying to take over the government and bring it into the schools. Christianity here is considered a sect/cult. Please be keeping them in your prayers as well! So we ended up spending our mornings in prayer and the afternoons playing sports with some of the local children. We were
able to speak at the church a couple times and even give a Thursday evening service with a drama, some songs, a couple testimonies, and Will spoke about their identities in Go
d (at this church us lovely ladies were not allowed to preach at all so Will got to preach a couple times!). Then this past Sunday we sang some more songs, Will spoke again, and it was one of the church member’s birthday so we were able to celebrate with her! We got to know a couple members of the church and some of the vision and dreams God has given them. One man
has a dream to open up this house/building as a place where Christians can gather. He had a heart breaking testimony and I am excited to see how God is going to use this man! Another man was visiting from Bible school and is actually from Uzbekistan (somewhat of a persecuted country) and just hearing his heart and his testimony was a huge blessing. Even though it
seemed like we did not do that much “ministry” God keeps on reminding me that my idea of ministry looks different than His! As our main contact here in Moldova said- prayer is like the airforce, it sets the stage for everything else!
