Every Continent we have an opportunity to pray into where we should go that month (In Asia we went to Thailand again and in Africa we went to Togo). So this month was a little different than previous times because it seemed that there were more options and we had to set up our own ministry site unlike previous times. I normally have a hard time praying for ATL (ask the Lord) because I do not hear or see anything like other people do and normally I am fine with whatever is decided. So the day we were going to pray more into where we should go, I decided to go and spend some alone time with God and just poured out my thoughts and feelings about ATL. During this time God spoke some things to me and it blew me away. This is what He asked me:
Are you seeking the answer or are you seeking ME?
Whoa. Just like that God flipped me upside down. What was I seeking- the answer or Him? In all reality I had been seeking just the answer.
If you want to just seek the answer and not ME, I will still give you the answer but you will miss so much more. The answer you are looking for is inside my heart and when you truly seek me the answer will come.
So many times I am just concerned with the answer instead of the source who has the answer. It is just like those who worship creation instead of the Creator. God is the answer and He is the one I should be seeking! It is ALL ABOUT GOD AND HIS HEART! All we have to do is ask God to show us more and more of HIS HEART and REVEAL MORE OF HIMSELF TO US and He will! This also applies to so many other things besides ATL- like trying to figure out what life holds after the race- instead of seeking an answer God reminded me to seek Him!
So in the end we ended up going to Serbia (July 1 until the 13th ish) and then will spend the rest of the month in Moldova!
So are you asking the Lord or are you SEEKING THE LORD?
