So, what is a typical week on the World Race? Well I am glad you asked
J Here is what we did this past week here in Nigeria:

*Sunday: We taught Sunday school, sang a couple of special numbers at the service, and preached.

*MondayOur day off J We went to Victoria Island to the mall (which is as close to home as we are going to get J) and met up with another team for a couple of hours. The funny thing is that it took us longer to get there and back then we spent at the mall.

* Tuesday: We went to a couple of different hospitals and were able to pray for people. We got to pray over just day old babies and their moms. For more details visit Andy’s Blog about that (Click Here). We also were able to talk with some people we met along the way and pray for some of them.

*Wednesday: We got up around 5:30am (some of us – me included-J decided to not go to bed until 1:30isham that morning ) to get to the bus station by 6am to hand out a bunch of tracks to those going to work. We went to a couple of different bus stations and handed out a lot of tracks! Please be praying for those who received them- seeds have been planted!!!!   Then in the evening we spoke at the prayer service about prayer (go figure J) and spent some much needed time praying.

*Side Note* One of the ladies who we handed out a track to came to church on Sunday with her two adorable girls!

*Thursday: Went to a women’s ministry meeting and met some amazing women!!!! We hope to go back next Thursday!

*Friday: Went out and evangelized (a.k.a passed out flyers for the church and talked with people about Jesus- One lady came to church on Sunday as well!)

*
Saturday: We prepared for Sunday (got our special songs ready J and I preached, so I got my sermon about LOVE ready- to read a little bit of what I spoke on click here). Some of us went to the market to get some fruit and veggies and just look around. It was CRAZY and I can now say that I have experienced an African market and am fine never doing that again!!!! With us being white, people stare and are always calling out to us (which is like a hissing noise L) and it is just CRAZY!

So there it is- a week in the life! During the night we fight battles of a different kind: cockroaches, spiders, and now little mice (which are really cute by the way and better than cockroaches!J ) during the night J This month ministry is not crazy busy all the time and we are seeing more and more how our ministry is more with our contacts (since we are around them 24/7) and getting to know our new team/family and bond (we have stayed up late many a nights talking, watching movies, and just having fun)!
