(Sorry- I wanted to post pictures but the internet is too slow, so hopefully one day I will be able to post one up soon!!!)
I want to you all to meet Ruby. I did and my heart has not been the same since! One afternoon this past week, we went with Rev. Martha to the hospital to pray and talk with some of the people there. It was a hard. I was in tears a couple times and my heart felt heavy-But what a blessing to be able to pray and pour into their lives.

We walked into one of the wards and started praying for some of the woman there.   Then I saw Ruby. I notice a young girl laying on a bed but nothing visibly wrong with her. I went over and started talking with her- asking her name, age- normal questions. Then I found out why she was there. The medicine she was taking was making her sick and she was pregnant. 3 months pregnant. 15 years old and pregnant. My heart immediately went out to her and I stayed with her the entire time we were in that ward. She loves science and runs really fast- wants to play soccer but her mom will not let her J She has 8 year old twin brothers and just wants to get back home so she can go back to school. The reason why she was still at the hospital was because her mom was having trouble finding the money to pay for the bill. I felt so blessed, and I mean blessed, to be able to pray for her and spend some time loving on her and getting to know her. When I told her that Jesus loves her so much, she said she knew and quoted John 3:16 J This girl is INCREDIBLE. She is BEAUTIFUL! She is INNOCENT. She is PRECIOUS. I did not get to hear all of her story, but something did not feel right-something felt off, felt wrong. Please be praying for Ruby! Be praying for: Safety and protection and health for her and her baby. For the financial assistance needed for her and her family. For this young girl to keep on putting her hope and trust in Jesus and know that she is the daughter of THE KING and is WORTHY and VALUABLE!

We were able to go into the children’s ward and pray for them. I got to pray for a couple of young babies, but one little girl (1 year 3 months) got my attention. She had the cutest little curls on her head and was already feeling better when we got there. And her daddy was holding her- you could see the love for his little girl all over his face! Then we went into the maternity ward and prayed for those who just delivered babies! Some had their babies with them and how beautiful they were! One woman I prayed for just had a c-section and was in a lot of pain. It was really hard to not be able to do anything for her about the pain. All I was able to do was pray for her and pray blessings over her and her baby and hold her hand. Then we prayed for those who were waiting to deliver. We were able to pray life and blessings over these woman and their babies! The first lady I prayed for got my attention- her husband was with her- and when I was praying they were agreeing J It was so cool to be able to lift this woman up in prayer and know that this baby would grow up knowing Jesus! Later on Matthew prayed for the same couple- the husband said you could never have too much prayer J He told Matthew that if they had a boy they were going to name him Matthew and if it was a girl, they were going to name her Janna J He got Matthew’s email address and is going to email him when she has the baby! I have no idea if anything will happen, but it was just an honor to have that thought and know that this baby would have a wonderful story about how they got their name! So if we ever find out, I will be sure to let you all know! Who knows- there might be a new Matthew or Janna in the world today J
