We are blessed to be a part of Rev. Martha’s ministry, Jesus Shalom House Ministry, in Tema, Ghana for the first part of this month. We will be working with Rev. Martha and one or two other pastors out here until the 21st and then will be working with Rev. Joseph for the second half.

We will primarily be working with Rev. Martha and her church. She is doing a church plant (or some type of revival thing) close by, so during the evenings we are going over there to preach, worship with them, and encourage them. I still have yet to preach, but have a feeling that will be changing really soon!   African worship is something everyone should experience!- it is beautiful with their voices and energetic with their dancing and clapping (which reminds me that I have no rhythm what so ever!). The dancing thing is still quite new to me and it still feels awkward, but maybe there is a dancer in me yet J Also we will be doing whatever else Rev. Martha has planned- like going to the hospital and praying for people (see my blog about Ruby) or attending her twice monthly all night Friday “warfare” service (which we just had this past Friday where we worship, pray, share testimonies, a message is spoken, and tons of rejoicing and praise!), visiting orphanages, or going to the harbor and praying for people.

God always blows our expectations out of the water and coming to Tema was no different! We are staying in a hotel and we were not expecting to have beds or A/C and yet we do J Rev. Martha wants to serve us and is cooking all of our meals- once again we go to bless people and are blessed even more. Please be keeping all of these ministries in your prayers- especially for Rev. Martha. She has such a passion for her church and such a heart for the people here.  Be praying that she would keep on trusting in God to provide for her dreams that she has and for us to be able to build her up and encourage her! I am already loving the ministry this month, especially all the children, and cannot wait to see more of what God does while we are here!
