As I mentioned in an earlier blog, our ministry this month in Cambodia was different than any other month. We went to three different provinces/villages this past month and stayed about 5 days in each one. We basically did the same thing in each village: teach English, visit people’s homes and pray for them, give our testimonies, help with children’s church or with youth parties.  God taught me something or showed me something in each one and I want to share it all with you, so I will be writing three different blogs about each one J

Village #1

We slept under mosquito nets with gecko (I am hoping that is what it was) poop on the floor. We showered by using a bucket. Our toilet was a bucket flusher (which means that you flushed it by pouring water down it- at least it was a toilet J).   And I loved it here!!!! I loved everything from the people we were with, the students we taught, the people we prayed for, the Pastor, everything- well everything except of the flying black beetles! I would come back here in a heartbeat!

In this village, we were around some incredible young men who gave me a whole new meaning to a generation rising up to take their place in the Kingdom of God!!! These young men (around ages 16-22) are the leaders in the church. They are the ones who lead worship and play the instruments.   They are the ones that teach the English classes at the church. They are the ones that took us around to different houses to pray for people. They are the ones that impacted me the most!

To hear these young men pray- if only you could! They prayed with such faith and earnestness– as if they truly believed that God would do what they were asking (if only we all prayed like this!). It was such an honor to be able to partner with them- even if it was only for 6 days- and to share in the kingdom work with them! What boldness they spoke with! They brought Jesus into any conversation and it was amazing! It made me think about how shy I am about sharing my faith sometimes and how Jesus can and will fit into any conversation- we just need to step in confidence and speak with the boldness and authority God has given us! Their testimonies were amazing- some are the only Christians in their family and some have been persecuted by their families for believing in Jesus. I can only imagine all the plans God has for them and am so excited to see the godly men that they will be and the things they are going to do for Cambodia and how it will impact the rest of the world! This is a generation that is rising up and it is going to spread like a wildfire!!!!

Please be praying for these young men and for the church there. These young men are taking their place and role into what God is calling them to do and they need your prayers! Please be praying for wisdom and discernment. Pray for men to come alongside them and to be role models for them as to what godly men look like. This generation gets what it means to bring kingdom living to earth and they get what it is to have selfless faith!

Here are a couple pictures from our time here!
