As I am about to leave for training camp, I am fundraising to meet my first deadline ($5,000 by July 7th). I didn’t think this part of my mission would be hard or test my faith so soon, but fundraising IS challenging!

Like I said before, I joined the race almost as late as you can! So I have been in crunch mode to reach these deadlines. When I began this process, I had peace that God had this and I was going to raise all of the money…but a week before training camp, I started to worry. I wasn’t seeing the numbers that I needed in order for me to reach my goal.

I had my first ever yard sale to start out my first fundraiser event (I had no idea what I was doing).  As I was hosting this yard sale and sitting with one of my dear friends, we began to pray for the space and the people who would visit (where two or more are gathered..). Even though I was there to get support and donations, I wanted people to see and feel the presence of God. Not only did we get to pray for a girl, a lady prayed for me. I knew right then and there, God DOES have this!! Soon after, I started to see the funds coming.

WOW!!! I am so incredibly thankful for this learning experience. Fundraising IS part of ministry and it IS something that needs a lot of prayer. I have learned it is hard to ask for money or can be awkward at times, but I have also learned that this is for THE KINGDOM.

GOD’S TIMING MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU WANT, BUT HE WANTS YOU TO TRUST HIM!

YOU WILL SEE HIM WORK!!

Thank you for your support and your prayers

Loving all!
