Albania is a beautiful country filled with mountains and gorgeous beaches. The people were amazing and the food was delicious! For the month our team partnered with the Church of Nazarene in Tirana. It was a month of building relationships and serving the community around us.
During our first week, a group of us taught English while others taught music/ singing lessons. Our second week, we had VBS! It was such a sweet time to share Jesus with the neighborhood children. We also had so much fun doing different crafts and playing games. On our last week, we had a beauty for ashes retreat! This retreat was for girls and women in the community. It was a time of sharing how loved and valued they are by our Lord Jesus Christ. It was an opportunity for our team to love and serve them in a special way. We washed their feet, styled their hair, and painted their nails. They loved it!
During my free time, I spent a lot of time with the neighborhood kids. They would come by every afternoon, yell my name and ask me to come play and dance with them. I loved every minute of it! Those kids will forever have a place in my heart.
Albania was such an amazing month, It was such a heartbreaking goodbye.
Currently I am in Macedonia! Macedionia is a great country filled with many opportunities to share the good news of Jesus Christ! More updates coming soon!
