Have you ever just wanted to take a day and literally do nothing all day? We are on a journey of a lifetime and we are doing ministry work everyday. We get to travel and see some amazing things. Don’t get me wrong I am not complaining about this life at all. Yes, this is real life. I know that that sometimes I (really we) catch myself saying well in my real life back in the states, but even now this is real life. I am blown away that God called me to this journey and how much he is changing not just me but my entire life and squad.

I am not the same girl that started out the race back in January. I have lost 20-30 lbs since then. I have gotten ride of baggage that was holding me down. I have realized that I was believing lies that I normalized. I have shared the gospel with an unbeliever who had never even heard the name of Jesus. I am seeing how other people all over the world in many different cultures live. I am able to see how God knew that I would be here working on these things before I was even born.

Even though I am doing all those things, you still need to have off days. So today, I stayed in my pajamas, slept in (this doesn’t happen often on the race), I had a lazy day of watching Hallmark movies on you tube and eating ramen noodles. I even took 2 naps.

Days like today are so good for the soul. It gives you a piece of home and allows your body and mind to catch up and I really am able to process what I have been doing this month. So many times we can think that it’s not ok to take a day for ourselves while we are on this journey, but even in life you need days off.

We are getting ready to spend our last week here in Thailand in some villages doing outreach with a YWAM Radical Disciple Course team. It will be a week mixed with local Thai Christians and us. We have had a fun time getting to know these great people and we are excited to do ministry alongside them. We will be teaching English, bible stories, playing games, fishing, things with cows, growing grass and many other adventures. I will have a blog up telling you all about it soon. Please be praying for us this week. That we can be the hands and feet, that language barriers don’t keep us from doing the Lord’s work, that people can come to know the Lord.

This is a photo of the group yesterday. We went on a team building outing. Fed some fish, played some games, and then ate lunch together.
