i have finally been able to process a lot and reflect on what my month in India was like and what God really wanted me to share. So I’m going to tell a story about my “one” person I connected with and was able to pour into who also poured into me this past month.

My people were Sam and Marty. My translator. My brothers. My friends. These two guys cared for us so well this past month. It all started with them taking us to a restaurant with one of the other teams. With me being allergic to onions it is really hard to find food and eat in most all of Asia. Luckily living in S. Korea for a year gave me insight to the possibilities that are out there to eat food. I was so overwhelmed with how well they took care of me in this aspect.

My team ended up traveling to different villages and spending a few days in each one. Sam would call ahead and tell the pastors to prepare all the food onion free. It was one of the biggest blessings I could have gotten this month. Marty was very proactive in this as well. He cooked the majority of our food in our last village.

These are great things but this isn’t the best part of these to Godly guys. the majority of my past is shadowed with betrayal and sickness in regards to men in my life. it has been very difficult to have healthy godly men in my life who didn’t want something from me or abuse me in some way or fashion. Even as far as my own biological brother.

To come into a foreign country and be loved liked Christ from two men was amazing. I knew these guys didn’t want anything from me. They were there to help us communicate and navigate their country. We were able to have deep conversations that were enlightening to reasoning behind some of those cultural differences between us and India. We were able to have a better understanding of why hey did things a certain way.

I was able to laugh and joke and make inside jokes and just genuinely get to know these guys. It brought such healing to my heart and to my life. Looking back that is definitely not something I would have expected or sought after to happen. It was very organic and I couldn’t be more overjoyed that God restored that in me!

I am now in Nepal. We are finishing up debrief in a few days and then we are going into ministr. This month the squad is all togethe! So please be praying for my team and S squad.
