Wow!! I am beyond excited!!!!! One of the ways God has really shown up since my last post, funding has been coming in like no tomorrow. It’s like once I turned over all my doubt and fully trusted God, he provided my every need.
First I got $2,500 anonomyously donated. Then I got $500 anonymous. I was involved in a presentaion of The Singing Christmas Trees. It is put on my church (First Baptist Orlando) and its a drama production of about 650 people, 2 45 foot trees, 250,000 lights and the gospel message. We had about 32-33,000 people in attendance.
Anyways, the choir made of about 300 people decided this year that their mission project was going to support me. I was trully honored and blown away by their generosity. $1,300 was raised. Then I had another friend say she wanted to bless me and is donating $500. So, once all of these donations process I will be at $12,856 and only be $4,161 away from being fully funded.
Another way God provided was medicinaly. I was in need of getting a medical release singed and some epi pens in order to Launch. I didn’t receive the paper until 2 weeks before the end of the year…end of medical insurance. I was already having issues with my insurance and the pharmacy. I had malraia and typhoid meds sitting at the pharmacy but couldnt get them becuase my insurance was showing I had none, but I did.
I finally prayed and asked God to help me because I clearly couldn’t get it done on my own. I had tried many things. But in the end things were figured out and I ended up getting 4 epi pens for only $5. Now that was somehting to really thank God for me. (I am allergic to onions)
As I sit here drinking my warm coffee and thinking about all the things I need to get done over the next 10 days I start to get overwhelmed. Packing, getting last minute items, saying goodbyes, but also trying to stay in the here and enjoy the last few days to the fullest.
I have a lot to look forward to leading up to launch. Tomorrow is game night with my old lifegroup from before I went to S. Korea. I love playing games for hours on end. Just don’t let my competetive side scare you away!! Then on Saturday I get to babysit sweet baby Owen one last time! He is just the sweetest and will fill my camera roll! Then its off to a great news years eve party. (last year I was sitting in cab when the ball dropped) So its will be a great night bringing in the new year with dear friends.
On Sunday is church. Monday I get to go to choir practice and sing with Phil Wickham and Misty Roberson from Duck Dynasty. Our choir has been asked to sing 11 songs to premier for choral music this year. Tuesday is the premier and then followed by a concert with Phil Wickham. Then I head to my best friends house for a few days. Sell my car, and then Saturday is my last time to sing in the choir at church and then I head off to a bonefire send off party.
Then it is go time. I have some of the best friends. I get to be driven up to Atlanta with some people I met a few months ago and they have been there for me over the last 4 months.
Every year my pastor likes to have us pray for a word that will reflect our year. Something that God wants to show us.

2017-Big
My word for 2017 is Big. It is a word that we have been throwing around and praying as a squad since about September. We feel God has big things in store for us. WE are the biggest squad leaving in January. We have big hearts and are ready to see what God has to show us. I know God will show up in Big ways.
This is my last blog for 2016. The next one I write will be from India. I plan on updating at least once a week. Please be in prayer for us to be fully funded in the nest 10 days. Also, please pray for our families and friends as we say goodbye and head off to do Kingdom work!
Happy New Year!!
~Janet
