It is hard to imagine that 1 year ago today I had started my job teaching ESL to some very cute Korean children. Now, I am back in America trying to readjust to life in the fast lane. I will only be in America for 6-7 months before I embark on the World Race. So many things have to be done in such a short amount time.
I am still trying to process what all I did and how life was this past year. I will be giving a more detailed blog on what all life was like once I am able to sit down long enough and get my thoughts in order. It was a beautiful year of growing and heartache, but laughter and tears. I made some beautiful relationships and friendships that I know will last a life time. It was a great time to learn how to be on my own without anyone but the Lord to guide me. It was the chance of a lifetime!
As I sit here awake from my first 8 hour night of sleep in about a week or so, it is overwhelming to look around and see a living room bigger than the room I lived in for a year. I have slept in a room that was total darkness. It was weird at first. I couldn’t see the things on the wall or what was around me. I am used to having my own personal night light via the neon motel sign right out my window. I unfortunately did not have a curtain covering my window. So I got to have a night light and not be scared or need a night light!
The food is very good, yet very overwhelming. A lot greasier than that I have been consuming for a year. My stomach has not liked it very much. I will be getting into a much healthier lifestyle very soon!
I have been able to purchase a chromebook, kindle, fitbit, health insurance, and will be getting the rest of my gear next week or in the following few weeks. I am trying to get everything that I can control in my life done and then just sit back and let God do his thing.
Thank you for all of those who have supported me so far. Those of you who have donated money, time and prayer, please keep it up! I need help in all aspects right now. I will be posting a few fundraisers over the next few weeks. I am almost 1/17th of the way there!!
