Hello,

My name is Janet Garrison. I started on a journey seeking out God’s will for my life just 3 years ago this past

September.  Things that I’m passionate about include working with preschool age children. I enjoyed my job working with

preschool age children. It was a challenging but rewarding four years. I began asking God about ministery with children when several of the children began sharing about Jesus Christ hanging and dying on the cross. I prayed about how I could witness to them. I remember sharing with parents about what the children were drawing and talking about. This experience was a testiment to me that God can work through children to reveal himself and plant seeds. I was there to witness and foster an environment for this work. I feel so honored, it wasn’t everyday that I got to experience this.

 

I began asking God questions. What do I need to do to be part of conversations like this with children more often. I started asking God about how to be in a position to minister to children regardless of my workplace environment. When a recent opportunity to do missions work rebuilding houses in New Orleans came up I felt something inside stirring. I Knew missions, helping others, using my skills and God-given compassion for service to Christ in this way made me feel more alive than any other thing I’d ever considered before. After praying about an opportunity to travel to 11 countries and minister to children like you will see in one of the World Race videos below I couldn’t help but get excited when God spoke to my heart to trust him in this.

 

I believe the saying about the world’s greatest need meeting your hearts strongest call scratches the surface of the feeling I’m trying to convey. In short I knew that God’s calling on my life; what he is birthing in me is connected to the world’s great need, according to God’s agenda. Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. He healed the sick, was moved to action because of his great compassion. He loved with his hands and feet. And that is what he is calling me to do in answering the call for missions; to be his hands and feet all around the world!

 

In this next year I will get to experience the hand of God ministering to and through me to children, adults, the homeless, the forgotten, the orpans, and the body of christ–learning at the feet of Christ what it means to walk in faith, to trust him and completely depend on Him. I am answering God’s call to be his ambassodor around the world; to preach the gospel; causing men and women, boys and girls to surrender their lives to Christ and come back into a covenant relationship with God through his son Jesus Christ!!!!

 

I have been called to be his hands and feet to the nations and I’m inviting you to join me in raising our voices to heaven in prayer for the cause of Christ; to see the sick healed, the demon possessed delivered, the blind to see, and many souls converted to the devotion and love of Jesus Christ! It is my honor to invite you to pray alongside our January World Race missions team for these signs and wonders of God to follow us along our travels– that many would believe on the name of Jesus Christ! I believe that God will honor the fervant and effectual prayers of the righteous because he is just that good!  I’m believing him to do great things!
