The past twelve days have been quite the road trip. On September 2, I flew to sacremento for the ten year anniversary of The Call. The Call is a solemn assembly where thousands gather to pray, fast, and worship for the move of God and revival in our generation! The Call was so confirming of everything the Lord has been whispering to me these past 6 months. It has given me renewed energy and faith for the things God is going to do in my generation! I also learned some lessons on hospitality. Arriving from the airport with only an address passed along through text, I took a shuttle in faith that I would have a place to sleep. And God provided… much to the surprise of the Dreamcenter, who weren’t expecting me. They showed incredible servanthood, and I had an absolute blast getting to know them!

On September 5, I joined a caravan of three other people, and we drove to Redding to visit Bethel Church. Bethel is INCREDIBLE! Immediately, I felt such a peace and safety as I sat sipping on my chai, reading the word, and just marveling at the hand of God. This visit, again, was also a leap of faith. The Sunday night service was awesome! We worshipped for an hour, broke out into sporadic prayer and prophecy, more worship, then the message. All in all it was about 6 hrs. of incredible encounter. After the service, however, we were again homeless with no place to stay. Three of our contacts fell trhough. We all just sat on the ground, chuckled at our circumstance, and began to pray. And wait. Through a series of humorous events and almost beseeching Bill Johnson for a place to stay, we received a phone call at 11 pm telling us we had a place to stay! (Thank you Wayne and Mrs. Perry!) The rest of the week was full of soaking in God’s presence, taking a day trip to San Fransisco, and again to the Redwoods. I also ran into some good friends who are up at bethel (shout-out to Steven and Kyle!)

Throughout the time in California, my emotions were equivalent to a whirlwind. It was, at times, almost impossible to function. How do you soak in all God has promised for the year? How do you be present for your best friends when your heart is in suh a radically different place? How do I live?! So many questions…so many swirls…but I know God is in control. He is good. he is powerful. Despite my weaknesses, HE IS. Despite my failures, HE IS.

On another note…. as I type this, I am sitting in the Philippines with the other team leaders, finance, and logistics folks!!!!!!!! After 16 hrs. of flying, I AM HERE!! Ah! The rest of the squad will be here after lunch. Yesterday when we arrived, it felt so surreal! I am here…in the Philippines…surrounded by the familiar smells of Asia. If you don’t know what that is…it’s motor exhaust, rotting garbage, steamed rice and other fried things. I love it! Three of us went to the slums to feed the kids with some of the staff from Kids International Ministries, another group went to the kids home, and others took some much needed rest from all the Jet-lag.

Today will be full of finance training and hiking to a waterfall. This week will have more training, then we will move to our ministry location on Sunday. We will actually be in the Philippines for a whole month now before moving to our next country…which has also changed (update later.)

Thank you to all my friends and family who have supported me and prayed for me. Thank you Mrs. G for your discipleship..already I am seeing God’s hand in that! Thank you thank you! I am so ready and excited to begin this year! It’s so hard to believe that this is my life now!! 😀

I will keep everyone updated on where I will be serving! Blessing and much love!

So long from the Philippnnes!!
