After 56 hours of being “in transit” as immigration stamped me, I arrived to be greeted by my loving awesome teammates.  Seriously, after travelling and not seeing another familiar face for so long, when I saw Mark and Gina standing there conversing, I felt like I was HOME!!!  My heart was at rest.  My bag still is nowhere to be found, but I am trusting the Lord to bring it here safely and in one piece.

Outside of that, with goodbyes behind and hellos ahead, my heart and eyes are fixed on the cross.  And waiting in expectation for what He wants to do.  We had our very first ministry experience in the Church of Nazarene Hospital.  Completely overwhelming.  It was surreal, unreal.  People of all ages, suffering from everything from AIDS to meningitis.  And I walked away feeling SOOOO powerless, what the heck do you do when you are being stared in the face by that kind of suffering?  what do you say to someone?  Just many many question, and only one answer so far.  We are powerless outside of the Lord’s power, we have no answers outside of the answers He has given us.  I had all these expectations of my greatness and I am humbled.

So after 2 days in Swaziland, we are now in South Africa, which btw looks pretty much like the states.

Please pray for the quick arrival of my bag and for hearts and lives to be turned to the Lord.
