This morning we met a very influence man here in Jos named Gideon Para-Mallam. He is the head of Intervarsity in Africa (a big role to play). Gideon is the man who has teamed up with Yakubu Pam for the peace conference and rally. His dream and hope for Jos is for a better tomorrow filled with peace.
Gideon has done many things to advocate for peace. He has met with multiple youth in the area, is flying to South Africa, Angola, and Ghana to met with key figures in peace, and has initiated peace here in Nigeria. Gideon has pleaded with both the Christians and Muslims to lay down their concerns and embrace peace from an unbiased yet sympathetic point of view. His vision is to support both sides of the conflict in rebuilding both in the physical, spiritual, and emotional aspects of the people’s lives
We are blessed to meet men like Gideon who are acting out their faith and advocating for peace. Men who will stop at nothing to bring revival back to this nation of Nigeria. Upon our departure Erika prayed for Gideon. Her prayer was a prophetic prayer claiming revival for this land. Gideon fully accepted our prayers on behalf of Nigeria.
