For many of you. You know little about Month 5 of my World Race. I spent May of 2013 deep in a village in Nepal.

It was not my proudest month. Nor my bravest. It was the hardest month of my race and one of the hardest months of my life.

but from that deep deep despair I learned what it means to walk in freedom. Not the kind of freedom that allowed me to jump off one of the highest bridges in the world or climb a huge rock halfway through a strong current.

the kind that comes only from stepping into who you are created to be.

What it meant to walk out of people pleasing and what it meant to run from approval not towards it.

After weeks of spending time with a loving family in a tiny room sick every day we returned to the city of Kathmandu. That is where magic happened from me. On the first night of debrief a dam broke in me and the floodgates opened.

In the best way possible and I walked out of so many things I had been walking in for so long. I stepped into who I am and who I was called to be.

All of this to say:

the news of the devestation that has hit Nepal hurts my heart in such deep ways. As I continue to read the news I am left with what can I do. I love this country I love those people.

The kind of hurt that has me crying out to God for answers. Not why but what can I do. And I know some of you have the same question.

The family that we lived with who have a church in the village of Kothe, Nepal. A church that people walk half a day to get to . A pastor who will walk all day to visit a family in his church.

They have lost everything. Their home. Their church and several church members.

Please start by praying that is them most important thing. I belive in a Sovereign God who will not bring death to something without birthing something new. God is with them. He holds them and He hears them.

Next please donate.

You wouldn’t believe how little it would be in American money to rebuild all that was lost.
