So here I am living in Dondo, Mozambique and I love it.
6AM-7AM: Wake up and begin preparing for the day
7:30AM: Breakfast is available it is a white roll(one of the missionaries told us it would be great if someone could come and teach on nutrion as there is no concept here, people each mostly carbs and don't drink enough water)
8AM-8:30AM: Leave for our ministry site with Anna our awesome translator, she lived in the states for several years and is our age so it's lots of fun to have her with us.
8:30ish(everything is on African time which is brand new everything is usually half an hour to an hour behind) we arrive at our site which is a clinic; we introduce ourselves as their are different mothers each day and one of us share a short testimony and word) we weight babies with their mothers help and distribute formula and rice to help those that simply can't afford to feed their children. There are a lot of Grandmothers caring for their grandchildren because their mothers have passed away.

Anna(our translator) and I holding Domingo and Maria
These twins were being cared for by their Grandmother as their mother had AIDs and passed away in childbirth. They both have AIDs and weight between 8-10Ibs and are 6 months old.
As we pray for these families it is easy to get upset but I remember that God is here and will never forsake one of his children. "Jesus said, " Let the little children come to me and do not forbid them for of such is the kingdom of heaven" Matthew 19:14
10AM: head over to the pre-school the kids are at recess and we just play with them and dance and sing and chase them. A little girl named Lucy attached herself to me the first day this week(picture to come)
11:30AM: Finish up at the clinic and pre-school and say goodbye to the kids for the day and head back to Iris
12:30PM-1:30PM: Lunch, lunch is always shima(cornmeal) and either fish or beans or a green soupy mixture we believe to be spinach. Yesterday we headed down the road and bought potato samosas from a lady selling them on the street they are 2 mets each which translates to less than a penny.
Afternoons are often freetime sometimes we have the option to go to the hospital and pray for the sick or to go and spend time with widows praying for them and playing with their kids. Today we have free time so we took the 15 minute walk from Iris into town to go to the grocery store and get internet.
5:30PM: Dinner is rice and whatever other item was served at lunch again rice and beans are our favorite.
6:30PM: Team time, Emily, Emma, Brittney, Jen and I sit down and give each other feedback and discuss our day. Last night I gave my testimony which lasted like an hour(I didn't realize how hard it was to sum up 24 years of life into an hour)
7:30PM: Session with our whole squad, over the last week we have shared individually about what we are struggling with and victories in our lives a lesson in being vulnerable, sometimes one of our squad leaders shares and other times like last night we had worship. It was amazing to come together as a sqaud and lay down everything from our day and just worship the Lord.
9:30PM-10PM: get ready for bed this includes a bucket shower and brushing our teeth with our bottled water( a new experience but still fun)
10PM: I usually like to end my day with quiet time but if flucuates from day to day.
10:30-11PM: Go to sleep
And a new day begins
