So here goes it; my very first blog post.
It was just a few short months ago, disenchanted with my life in Oklahoma; a year after graduating from OU that I decided to move back home to California, so in a few brief weeks I packed it up, sold my car and moved back. Started a new job(same job different branch), moved into a new apartment, bought new furniture and began settling back into life in the Bay.
It is only then that I realized that maybe there was something else I was supposed to be doing. While spending the day with my best friend she mentioned the World Race. My first thought was Umm What?!? 11 countries 11 months, not coming home for 11 MONTHS. But it was on that first day that I requested more information and began reading blog after blog and realized that God was pulling me back to him and he is calling me on a journey that will change who I am.
So in January 2013 I will be getting on a plane and going to:
South Africa
Swaziland
Mozambique
India
Nepal
Thailand
Cambodia
Vietnam
Malaysia
Moldova
and Romania
I'm excited, nervous, ready, not ready, sure, unsure and a whole lot of other things right now. But what I do know is that this is what God has called me to DO and where God has called me to GO. I'm going with no expectations.
My prayer through this journey is that God will :
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
