But it wasn’t a dream.

Or was it?

I’ve been home for over a week now and at times (well I guess most of the time) it still feels like the World Race was a dream. I come home and most everything is the same.

Same apartment,
same room,
same pets,
same family,
same church.

The only thing that changed is that now everyone is a year older. In my life right now, it seems as if I am picking up right where I left off. Or maybe that I never left at all.

But I did leave.
I was gone for the last 334 days.
Things have changed.
I have changed.

Most of the time the past year of my life seems surreal to me. Did I really travel the world? Did I really make it to 11 countries and 4 continents to serve the Lord? Did I really? Yes. Yes I did.

Home Sweet Home

And it was a year that I will never forget or look upon and regret. One way I know I was gone: whenever a member of Family Force 6 texts or calls me. Without the World Race, these amazing people would not be in my life.

The past year of my life was the best one so far and is only the beginning of many more great years that the Lord has in store for me. And though I would pretty much always prefer to be overseas somewhere, I am content with where the Lord has me- He gave me overseas missions for 11 months, but now it’s time to be home and serve God here.
