My last day in Huaticocha was tough. An emotional, confusing day. But at the culto, the Lord really spoke to me during the sermon. Yeah it was in Spanish, but I can understand quite a lot when I am paying attention. The message was about the Eternal City (Heaven) and what we have to look forward to one day. A city with no pain, no tears, no mourning. Only a city with joy, praise and smiles. About halfway through the message, the gringos were mentioned. How we need to leave this city (Huaticocha) and go to other cities to tell them about the Eternal City.

Through this simple statement God confirmed a couple of things. The first is that we are on this World Race Mission in order to go to 11 places, to 11 countries, 11 cities and bring the good news of Christ. The Lord confirmed that this is my calling for now. But he also confirmed that it is not my calling forever. Though I could stay in Huaticocha the entire 11 months, I know the Lord has other good things planned for me.

The season in my life now is short term missions, but one day it will be long-term where I have more time in one place. To continue building those relationships, to not have to leave when I finally felt I was up and running. So now my job is to be content with short term missions, a month in each place, but knowing that one day the Lord has different plans for me. Patience is key right now.

I know that through this race, the Lord will reveal His plan for me and where He has me at in the future. My ministry location and place is all set out. I just have to wait to find it.
