It’s been 2 and a half weeks in a Spanish speaking country and my Spanish is being pushed like never before. From translating, to conversations, to messages… I am doing it all. AND I LOVE IT! I love how I am able to communicate freely with the people of Huaticocha. That I can talk to them and build a deeper relationship with them simply because there is not a language barrier. And I’ve already decided these first three months will be different for me, since I can speak the language. But once we get to Eastern Europe and then Africa and then Asia… Everything will change.
Last night I gave my first message completely in Spanish. On Romans 8:28. I talked about how good comes out of those who love God even in tough circumstances and the testing of our faith. It went pretty well. Those I was nervous, from feedback I got “You did phenomenal, but slow down” Which I could totally guess. I always talk fast when I am nervous. Well the good thing is I get to give the message again tonight. Practice (and the Holy Spirit) makes it perfect!
I love speaking Spanish and day by day, little by little, I am improving in my Spanish in order to communicate with the people of Huaticocha and soon the people of Peru and Bolivia.

In a church in Nueva Esperanza (after hiking up this muddy mountain in skirts and boots). But this is where I first spoke giving a spanish message/testimony in front of a church all in Spanish. the first of many. soon after I gave the message at the church in Huaticocha.
