What is next after the world race for me? Well, I would like to start off by saying that I had no idea what God wanted for me, but I knew that I would be doing missions. I’ve had a desire to do missions since I was in middle school. Most people I meet I’ll tell about my desire to work with orphans and woman. In each one of our lives he is writing a story. Each one looks so different and is filled with chapters that lead beautifully into the next one. My story is one of redemption where his faithfulness shines through the cracks of brokenness. It’s never wasted and he can bring beauty from the ashes if we allow him to. There’s nothing we’ve been through that is so painful that our redeemer can’t heal it.
That being said, the Lord is moving me into the next part of my story.
On October 6th, I’ll be moving to Gainesville, Georgia. I was accepted into a five month apprenticeship program with Adventures in Missions. There are different tracks to focus on during this program and my focus will be worship leading. I’ll be living in community with other world race alumni while I learn to pursue the calling that God has for me. I’ll have a part time job and be discipled all for the purpose of sharing the gospel with the people that God brings into my life everyday. This will be a time of growth where I can continue to draw near to Jesus and seek His heart for me.
I first heard about Center for global action while I was in Nicaragua. There was a missionary there that worked for AIM. She shared with me that she had done this program after the world race. It left my mind and then a month later, it came to my mind again. After looking it up in Panama, I prayed for a month and I knew this was what God wanted for me.
He keeps pressing me into uncomfortable things, but this keeps me dependent upon him.
I will be fundraising for the cost of living while I’m in Georgia. The total price for this missions trip is $5,590. Please pray with me about how you could support me during these five months, whether that’s a one time donation, monthly or with prayer. I really appreciate everyone’s love and support. He has been so faithful and good to me. Love you all!
