When I first truly decided that I wanted to do the world race, I prayed and asked the lord to confirm what was in my heart and increase the desire within me to go. I remember thinking, What did I just ask him? God, give me a desire to sleep in a tent, take cold showers, live out of a backpack, travel around the world, be with people 24/7. yes lord, please, take me out of my comfort zone. He then began to bring me verses in the bible to confirm what was in my heart. After a week, I was so scared that I said, ok lord, ill apply in a couple of days. Then he put within me this burning desire to go. So, what started out being two days ended up being two hours.
There’s this worship song I’ve been listening to lately called, “You make me brave” by bethel music.
Gods perspective is so beautiful! He does not see what we see. As I listened to this song, I pictured myself standing by an ocean with my feet on the shore. I wanted to go in, but the fear of the unknown was keeping me from trying. I wanted to find out what was beyond the shore and what was in the wave. Knowing I am loved so deeply makes me love Him and makes me want to take the risk. His Love makes me want to love the unreached! He makes me Brave!
