Hello!
My name is Jamie Boespflug (sounds like base-floog for those who are wondering) from Lino Lakes, Minnesota. I recently graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelors in chemistry with a minor in business administration. Now that I have graduated, I know that I have no idea what I want to do for the rest of my life, so why not travel and make a difference for other people?
I have an older brother, Justin, a younger sister Jessica, a new sister in law Hilary 🙂 and my parents Don and Shelly. Family is the most important thing in my life, not only immediate family, but extended family. Family trips and holidays are where my favorite memories come from. I am so blessed to have all of them in my life!
What I love to do most is travel. I have been to 20 countries, in Central America, South America and Europe. I have done two mission trips that brought me to Guatemala (with my cousin Elizabeth) and Costa Rica (with my mom Shelly). It is from these trips that I knew I wanted to do a larger/longer mission trip to serve others. I also studied abroad in Europe last summer with the college of business at NDSU. We got to travel to 12 countries and I had the most amazing time and made great new friends! In Switzerland I got to sky dive, which to date is the coolest thing I have ever done! (If anyone is contemplating it at all, do it!!)
Two of my biggest dreams are to go to Africa, and make a difference in someones life. I know that embarking on this incredable journey will allow me to fulfill both of these dreams. I am beyond blessed with the love and support that I have received from my friends and family in response to this trip! One thing I have learned in the last year is that life does not always go in the way that we planned, but that is ok. One year ago I would never have imagined that my life would be bringing me to 11 countries around the world to serve God and bring hope to His people.
