Hello friends. I did not think I would ever be posting again, but a really awesome opportunity has come up that I wanted to invite you to be a part of…

During month 11 of my World Race, my team and I spent the month in Nkhata Bay, at a non-profit community site called Butterfly Space. We quickly learned that the people here have a deep desire and need for God’s word, especially in their native language of Chichewa, which is most widely spoken by locals in the area. However, access to Bibles remains a huge obstacle.

There are no Bibles in this area, not even for sale (trust me, we asked and looked). Neighboring towns that do carry Bibles are not only far away, and thus costly, but the Bibles themselves were expensive. We received numerous requests for Bibles during our stay there, and it was evident how rare it was to own one. It was evident from so many locals I met that there was a genuine hunger for God’s Word there, to bring hope and encouragement, as well as guidance.

I vowed to find a way to help get them some Bibles once I returned, but that task proved very difficult initially. I had no idea Chichewa Bibles would be so hard to procure. The ones I did find were incredibly expensive and finding a way to get a big shipment to the small area of Nkhata Bay was starting to look bleak. God always provides a way though.

Through the help of a World Race Alumni currently living and working in Malawi, Gret Glyer (founder of DonorSee), I have found a secure and inexpensive way to get Chichewa Bibles delivered to my contact at Butterfly Space! From there, they will be dispersed throughout the entire community, including the local prison (which has a Bible study group for men that we were able to take part in), a women’s group that meets weekly and volunteers in the community, Butterfly Space staff and children attending the programs there.

Each Bible is only $10, and this includes the delivery to Nkhata Bay! My goal is raise enough to send 300 Bibles. However, fundraising will end on December 25, 2016 and I will send as many as I can afford with the funds raised at that time. I currently have enough to send roughly 100 Bibles, but would love to get as many over there as possible since we already have delivery worked out, and the cost is so low for each one. If you would like to donate anything towards the Bibles, simply click this link and it will guide you through the process: https://donorsee.com/project/125. You may also give me the money directly, if more comfortable.

As Paul states in Romans 1:16, the gospel “is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” Let us do our part to get that gospel into the hands of those who need it.

Also, please feel free to SHARE the fundraising page/link with anyone and everyone, including your churches. Thanks so much!
