I have three different fundraising events underway currently, all of which are explained in detail below. Please consider taking part in at least one of them to help me meet my second, and most important, fundraising deadline of $10,000 by August 21st.
1) T-Shirts
They’re back!!! I have had several people request to order a shirt after my first campaign ended, so I’ve decided to offer the shirts again, one final time! I designed the shirts myself (so forgive the simplicity) to serve as a memento for those wishing to support me financially. You can pick from two different styles (regular and womens tee) and several colors – see design below. Orders can be placed online by clicking this link: http://teespring.com/jamies-world-race-september_15. The campaign will run through July 20th, so make sure you get your order in by then!
***You will NOT be charged for any shirt order until July 20th***

2) Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast
I am currently selling tickets for a breakfast at the Applebee’s in Gastonia (3628 E. Franklin Blvd., 28056) being held on July 18th from 7:00-10:00am. Each $10 ticket will get you a breakfast including pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and a beverage choice including coffee, juice, soda and tea. Please see or contact me if you would like to purchase any tickets.
One of the women in my small group, Stacey Loungo, is hosting this event to raise money for the Autism Speaks organization. This is dear to her heart as a result of her beautiful daughter, Gabriella. Stacey has graciously offered to split the proceeds of this event with me for my mission trip.
3) Garage Sale
I’ll also be having a large garage sale on July 18th starting at 7:00am and going all day. The location is 11400 Brook Meadow Place, Charlotte, NC 28214. I’ll have a little bit of everything including games, toys, clothing, electronics, books, jewelry and more! 100% of the profits from this will be going towards my trip.
Also, I’m currently collecting items to sell at this event, should you have anything you are willing to part with. Depending on the size of the load, I can arrange to pick it up. Furniture and electronics are most welcome 🙂
As a reminder, here are all of my fundraising deadlines set up by Adventures in Missions:
$3,500 – Due 6/12/2015
$10,000 – Due 8/21/2015
$13,000 – Due 10/31/2015
$16,267 – Due 12/31/2015
I have to meet the August deadline to ensure that I leave with my squad for my specific route in September. However, I am praying and hoping to be fully funded ($16,267) before I leave in September, as is advised by everyone I’ve spoken with who has done this trip before. There will be many different challenges and adjustments once I am overseas, not to mention potential issues with communication at times. So, trying to fundraise during that period would be an added stressor that I would like to avoid, if possible.
Please help me spread the word about these fundraisers, especially amongst our local Charlotte folks (for the breakfast and garage sale). Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement! It has meant more to me than you will likely ever know.
