Team Salt has found itself on the west coast of Guatemala in a town called Puerto San Jose. We are working with a man named Felix, who works to provide a safe environment and disciple street kids.

Felix was once one of these kids himself. Growing up both in the United States and Guatemala, he found himself in prison for the first time at the age of 13. With a history of drugs, violence, robbery, and redemption, Felix has a heart that burns for the young people of his city.  However, currently his ministry is on hold.

The reason its that he has recently been blessed to purchase a beautiful compound that will not only provide a safe haven for the kids he loves, but also give a place for visiting ministry teams to base themselves out of.  The place needs alot of repair before he can bring anyone in, so Felix is rushing to complete his new home so he can bring his kids back into safety.

Enter Team Salt. We are here now working on his compound helping in any way that we can. For the past few days, this has meant painting. So we rolled up our sleeves, rolled out our rollers, and got to work. We have spent the past. Four days painting the inside and outside of the compound(this is a before picture, notice the paint free clothing).

Felix told us that if we had not come, he would have had to do all the painting by himself. We still have at least one or two more days of painting left as a group of six.

God has truly blessed us in our time here. Felix is a powerful witness to the saving blood of Jesus Christ.

Please pray for us as we continue to help Felix in anyway that we can. God is doing powerful things here on the coast of Guatemala and we want to be obedient to what He has in store for us. Peace.

By the way, we are minutes away from a beautiful black sand beach and one of the most amazing
