Hello!
My name is James Fraundorf. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me! This is my first blog ever…so should be fun! First a little history on me, hopefully it is not a bore. I was born and raised in a log cabin that my Dad built in the northwoods of Wisconsin. My first bed was a dresser drawer with mosquito netting over the top to keep out the unwanted guests that shared my home. I grew up with an amazing family and wonderful parents who love Jesus; there's Mom, Dad, me, and three younger brothers. I was homeschooled until my last two years of high school, then needing a change and wanting to play sports, I attended the huge public school in town…graduating with 76 students in my class. I wanted to go to college, didn't know what for, so I went somewhere close to home but not too close. Enjoyed my college years at UW-Eau Claire, graduating last May with a degree in Psychology. I am currently working at my local church and enjoying the ministries God has blessed me to serve in and lead during this time. My plan after I return from the World Race is to go to Seminary, as I feel strongly that I am called to full-time ministry.
I was introduced to the World Race by a good friend of mine. I have always loved traveling, adventuring and serving Jesus; consequently, after much contemplation, articulation, and prayer I decided I wanted to pursue this grand adventure! So here I am! I have been fortunate enough to travel to Mexico on missions trips as well as serve as a pastoral/counseling intern at a church in Oregon last summer. The Lord has been calling me to step out and take a bigger risk for Him, however. I look forward with great anticipation and expectation as to what this coming year abroad has in store for me and my squad! By the grace of God and with the help of our supporters, lives will be changed forever and the name of Jesus proclaimed throughout the nations.
Thank you so much,
James
