I’ve spent the last 3 months living in Africa and the experience has been phenomenal!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, I dont have 1,000 words so I thought I would include a few pictures so you can get a glimpse of the blessings I see everyday.

I hope you enjoy the lessons and pictures…

1) Be careful what you say and do. You could be inspiring the next generation of missionaries (or photographers).

2) Barbed wire is everywhere. It often means that there are wild animals on the other side. Do not attempt to see/prove it’s true.

3) It is socially acceptable and a normal practice for men to hold hands. It means friendship. Do not be surprised or uncomfortable if you find yourself escorted to your car, hand-in-hand, by the stranger you met in the checkout line while grocery shopping 10 minutes ago. It’s ok.

4) There is still progress to be made.
5) Africa has the best games ever! p.s. does my squad-mate look like he’s mad at me?
6) They have incredibly strong necks. And they start at an early age.

7) GENIUS, I tell you! Who cares if one swing breaks? Give me an electric cord, an innovative 5 year-old, and now we have two swings!

8) Nothing to do? Again, give me two ropes (that are too short for anything) and an innovative  5 year-old. Now we have a jump rope.

9) One dress shoe, one boot, and swimming trunks…who cares about style!? God ALWAYS provides MORE than you need!

10) The kids love soccer!
11) There are lot of kids depending on you! We are His kingdom…support them.
