I PROMISE this will be the last post “About Me.”

I know I recently posted a blog mentioning things you may (and may not) have known about me, but I posted the original article before I met my teammates. Now that I’ve met the majority of my team, it’s time to introduce ourselves. We’ve all agreed to write “50 things about me” so we can start the process of learning who we will be traveling the world with.

Now that you know my “
20 truths” here are my remaining 30 so you know “50 things about me.”

So here goes….

21. Antigua, Guatemala is my favorite city of all time. Marrakech and Paris are close seconds. (All subject to change upon return from the World Race).

22. There is something about hearing spoken French that makes me say “I don’t have any clue what you just said but that was really cool!”

23. I love plantains. I can eat them ALL DAY!! Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner…doesn’t matter!

24. I’m allergic to chocolate. Don’t ask me how this happened.

25. I REALLLLY love photography.

26. I have no idea what my life will look like after I return from the WR.

27. I’ve always been a night owl. However, somewhere along the line, I’ve become more of a morning person and find myself in bed earlier than I would like to admit.

28. Night driving, windows down, no conversation, and my thoughts = absolute perfection. (hopefully the sunset is early…refer to #27)

29. My heart beats faster (no exaggeration) when I watch the Amazing Race.

30. My favorite TV show is Amazing Race. Everyone knows exactly where I am at 8pm every Sunday night!

31. I love to travel!  If you’re reading this and interested in visiting Doha Qatar, Dubai, New Zealand, Zanzibar, Seychelles, Azerbaijan, or…well…ANYWHERE outside the US, let me know. I’ll go!

32. I can be fairly ‘black and white.’ Either it is, or it isn’t. But I’m learning, slowly, that there are shades of gray.

33. I am an adrenaline junkie. I like a little adventure.

34. I have spent the night on COUNTLESS airport floors and I haven’t been on the World Race yet.

35. According to my Myers-Briggs test, I am an ESFJ…which means: “Warmhearted, conscientious, and cooperative. Want harmony in their environment, work with determination to establish it. Like to work with others to complete tasks accurately and on time. Loyal, follow through even in small matters. Notice what others need in their day-by-day lives and try to provide it. Want to be appreciated for who they are and for what they contribute.” —> my teammates will understand why I mentioned this.

36. I enjoy rock climbing.

37. I cannot wait to meet my squad in person!

38. My love language is quality time…& receiving gifts…& words of affirmation…&physical touch…& acts of service… but primarily QT! lol

39. My favorite color is purple (strange for a guy, I know. But I like it!)

40. I’m a big hockey fan (Go Penguins or Redwings or Flyers…lol…depending on who’s having the best season).

41. I still don’t have a “smart phone.” I have the free phone (or as my friends call it…a “dumb phone”).

42. My favorite class during undergrad was ornithology. Who would’ve guessed that one!? Crazy right!?

43. Live music makes me happy.

44. In my mind, I can cook like Gordon Ramsay! In reality, I’m still perfecting that.

45. My favorite type of food is Indian food. Naan and curry baby!!

46. I worked for Northwest Airlines. I was the guy that directs planes to the gates with the orange batons and pushed the plane out with the tow-truck.

47. My favorite vacation memory is riding horses with my dad thru the Mayan ruins in Mexico.

48. I find it difficult to nap/sleep without ACTUALLY laying on my stomach. Doesn’t sound like a big deal does it? Well, what do you do when you’re on a bus or 16-hour plane ride? This weirdness has resulted in some interesting sleeping situations.

49. Entitlement is something that really bothers me to the core.

50. When I count my blessings, I count you twice! Yes, if you are reading this, you are a blessing to me!!

For all my teammates reading this…I’m sure we’ll have plenty of time to learn each other. We’ll be with each other 24/7 for a year.
