Hello Supporters!
I’m currently in the Dubai airport, enjoying what should prove to be the longest travel day(s) of the Race. We started this morning in Bucharest, stopped off in Istanbul and Dubai, we will continue to Johannesburg, South Africa, and finally, reach our destination in southern Malawi. Before we jump to the continent of Africa, I need to update you on an important detail: my new team!
During the first three months of the Race, I was a part of Team City Lights, and my teammates were: Laura Ludwick, Leah Mohrig, Stacey Compton, Robby Smith, Rachel McGuire, and Kendra Floyd. God taught me a lot during my time as Team Leader of City Lights. Most notably, He taught me that, while community is a gift from Him, and He places others in my life as a blessing to support me in His ministry, there are also things only He can provide. I must learn to seek my Father first, and seek Him always. He also taught me about my daily bread – that it is necessary for every day, and it will always be necessary. No matter where God takes me, this race will never be finished; I will never arrive. I will always be growing, changing, looking more like Jesus.
Without further adieu, this is my new team:
Daniel Durick | Leah Mohrig | Sami Moor | Rachel McGuire | Kendra Floyd
We are Team Fearless. We’ve been together for one month, and we spent that time at a place called Casa Shalom in Bucharest, Romania. Although this team includes four members of my previous group, and two people I worked with during month three in Ireland, we are entirely new. God has so much work to do in us and through us, and it is so apparent that He has called us to a new and different season. Our first nite together, we spent a considerable amount of time praying about and discussing what name best describes us, and the word that surfaced in the end is simple: ‘Fearless’. We believe this is what God is speaking over us, and this is where He is taking us together.
