Two continents down. One to go!

Well this officially closes out another chapter of the World Race for F-squad. The Asia chapter.

As I’m sure you know, the last 4 months we have been all over Asia. From Japan to Malaysia, to Thailand, and ending up here in Cambodia. Asia has been so good to us. From amazing contacts that are just so easy to love to some pretty incredible food. It’s been a great four months!

This past month in Cambodia team Aleph and I spent the month in a region called Kampong Cham in a small town quite a ways away from any city. It was such an incredible month for our team! We stayed with a young family consisting on a 30-year old father named Umong, his 25-year old wife Nari, and their year and a half old son Martin. As well as Umong’s brother Youtry and his wife Schrenich (not sure if that one is spelled right!) We spent the month in Umong’s stilt house/church that towered over sugarcane fields and provided incredible sunsets and sunrises!

We spent the month doing construction 4 mornings a week building a house for a local lady, leading bible studies/church services a few times a week, praying for people in the community that were sick and teaching English classes 5 days a week! And despite the 2+ hours of incredibly bumpy and insanely dusty tuk-tuk rides every day, it was an absolutely incredible month! To some people it may have sounded as if this month was going to be a rough or uncomfortable month, but for me I’d say it was definitely one of my favorite months! I will absolutely miss the junk out of our Cambodian family!

The last few days we have been spending time debriefing in Phnom Penh and it’s been a great time of being challenged and pushed to finish the rest of the race strong! And along with changes in continents comes changes with teams! Strangely enough for our team there isn’t much change! Our new team now consists of myself, Chris and Chrislyn, Jordan, Dillon, Adri, and Molly. So basically we lost Ash and gained two other wonderful ladies. And out new team name is…drum roll please…

Team Team!…

Don’t ask me why because I couldn’t tell you! But we are now team Team Team. It just sounds fun to say!

Now in about 1 hour we will begin to pack up a bus to head to the airport and get ready to fly off to Africa! Our last three months consist of Swaziland, Botswana, and South Africa! Please continue to pray for our team as we fight to dig deeper and dive into more intimacy with our Papa!
