That saying is so cliche, is it not? How many times have you heard it, or maybe even said it, when a relationship was being ended?
But what about when it comes to our relationship with Jesus?
Has there ever really been a time where we could look at our personal relationship with Him and blame something that has happened in that relationship on Him?
Heck no!
He is perfect, He never leaves, He never changes, His love never fails, He’s never wrong, but ALWAYS right! So then why do we often ask the questions like, “God where are you?”
He never left!
He’s always been there, right by our side!
So that’s where I now have to ask, is that saying really still so cliche? Or does it hold a lot more weight to it when it comes down to our personal relationship with our God, our King, our Dad?! Because when it comes down to it, it’s not Him it’s me. It’s me who doesn’t allow Him to love me deeper, it’s me who turns my back on Him.
But the glorious thing is that it’s not like an earthly relationship where the other person may just get fed up and leave. No, He’ll never, EVER leave!
Praise God!
So this is my challenge to you, ask God what it is about you that you could change to better your relationship with Him.
“…because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
-Hebrews 13:5
