Wow, how time flies! Obviously you can tell it has been quite a while since the last time I posted a blog. It’s been quite a crazy couple of months leading up to this point! I remember thinking to myself in January, it feels like all of this is so far away but I know it is going to fly by! And I was totally right!

I’m kind of overwhelmed writing this to be honest with you. There are just so many things that I don’t know how to put them in order and keep it short at the same time! But one of the biggest things I need to announce is…

I AM FULLY FUNDED!!
(And I have been for a little while now…)

But I just wanted to thank each and every one of you so incredibly much for all of your amazing help in getting me fully funded before I even had my first deadline due! It’s all because of your obedience to God’s call that this was possible! So thank you!

This past month is what I really want to focus on though. It has been a month of many firsts and many lasts, many tears and many laughs, and a few highs and a few lows! Actually, most of that occurred in the last week and a half alone!

Let’s see, the last week and a half has been the first time I have been 24 years old…haha just had to throw that in there. It was the last time I did an SRT show. The first time I got to meet my incredible F Squad (F)amily! And the last time I got to see my SRT family (for now!). As I’m sure you can tell there are a lot of crazy emotions that go into a week like that!

What a crazy week it has been! Training camp for the Race started last Saturday and it was one of those times where in the middle of it you think to yourself, “Wow this is the LONGEST WEEK EVER!” and then next thing you know, it’s over! I loved every little bit of training camp! Everything about it was so incredibly intentional!

I don’t even know where to begin describing everything that happened at camp! To describe everything that happened at camp would take ages so I’ll give you the highlight reel. Here it goes!

The first few day’s were a bit rainy so just about everything we had got soaked. Each morning we had to wake up and pack up all of our stuff into our bags and then do a team exercise activity which included anything from running to yoga. Just about every day there was some kind of “logistical problem” that we had to sort out how we were going to make it work. This included such things as “losing” half of our bags at baggage claim and having to accommodate for our teammates that didn’t have their bags. Each day we had food from a different culture. There was Latin America, India, Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. If you know me, you probably know that I’m a pretty picky eater, but I actually really enjoyed each cuisine, some more than others though.

Training camp wasn’t only about the physical hardships or the food. They also poured so much into us spiritually. For the first three days we had the dean of a theological seminary come and teach us some pretty incredible things. I had some of the best corporate worship I’ve probably ever experienced and we just got to see God move in so many incredible ways!

I really can’t wait to see what God has in store for the next year! I truly believe that He is going to use my (F)amily and I to do some incredible things! I have been given the awesome privilege of leading a team of 6 other people for at least the first few months of the race. I head up to Atlanta on June 29th for a few extra days of training and then we leave the country on July 3rd! Please keep us in your prayers that I would lead in a humble and serving manor following the Holy Spirit and that God would continue to pour into us each and every day as we pour out our lives for His fame and His glory!
