“If the size of your vision for your life isn’t intimidating to you, it’s probably insulting to God.”

-Steven Furtick

Talk about a smack in the face! Throughout the past few weeks God has been giving me quite a few of those “smack in the face” kind of moments!

I first heard about the World Race in February while on tour with the Silver Ring Thing from a friend on the team. My initial thoughts were “Wow, that sounds pretty cool. Maybe in the future.” And then thought nothing of it. Well to my surprise, God had some rather different plans up His sleeve! In November, a friend of mine posted on Facebook that he was catching up with a friend who just got back from her World Race. I knew I had heard of it somewhere before but couldn’t exactly remember what it was so I started looking into it.

The more I looked into it, the more excitement grew in my Spirit! Lately I’ve been reading the devotional “Sun Stand Still” by Steven Furtick. This is a 40-day devotional based off a book he wrote that is all about crazy, bold, audacious faith. Every time I read the daily devotion, God stirs something so exciting in my Spirit and I just know He has something big up His sleeve!

MY initial plan was to stay on tour for another year but as we know so well His Ways are far beyond anything we could imagine (Isaiah 55:8)! So sure enough, God began stirring something up in my heart and every time I thought about the World Race it scared the day lights out of me, but excited me beyond anything! So I decided that even though I don’t know all of the details, I’m going to take a step of faith and let God do His thing. Now here we are, God has opened the doors for me to go out into the world, make disciples, and change lives! Not only will lives be changed through the work that I will be doing, but my life will also be changed through this entire journey. It scares me, it intimidates me, but most of all, it excites me!

So please, join me as I travel to 11 countries in 11 months, and let’s see what God has in store for this incredible journey! Of course, this journey cannot happen without your help. Because of the hectic schedule that I have ahead of me with the Silver Ring Thing, I very little time between now and July to do any fundraisers like car washes or bake sales. So that’s where you come in! If you would prayerfully consider committing to donate $60/month for the next 6 months, I could very easily have all of my funds raised by the time I leave in July! Of course, you can also choose to commit to more, or less, or just give a one time generous donation! Just click the “Support Me” tab and decide whether you want to do a monthly donation or a one time donation.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers!

Until next time,

Jake
