You know I never really thought one day I'd want to go out and be a missionary, like really who wants to do that? Well it started last year during my mission trip to Haiti in august. While I was there I was opened up to the fact that when Jesus told us in Matthew 28:19 to GO, to do something ,and to show all the nations the life you recieved from Jesus. So that's what I want to do. I came back from that trip totally different, nothing felt right to me anymore. Like I was missing something. That's about when God showed me that He had something planned for me, and it wasn't ordinary. I prayed constantly for a vision of what to do with my life, I asked God so many times to guide my footsteps, but never planned on actually moving my feet. That about when the idea of doing missions popped into my head and wouldn't leave. God showed me what I was supposed to do, so now it's time to move my feet.
In october I will be going with an organization, Adventures In Missions, on their World Race program. It's an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries. Through adventure, community, ministry and self-discovery, I hope to be the hands and feet of God's kingdom. While on the World Race my team and I will be involved in evangelism, church planting, working in orphanages and prisons, and bring the restoration and hope of Jesus to as many people as we can. I am so grateful to God for this wonderful opportunity to go out and serve Him, and I am confident that He will provide for everything I need. I'm also hoping that He does that through you.
I have to raise $15,000, which covers all expenses on the field, to go on this trip. I'm asking you all now if you would consider giving prayerfully and financially to my mission. I know $15,000 seems like alot of money but consider this. If 25 people pledge $50 a month for 12 months, I would have 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip. That's not too bad now is it. I'm confident that God will provide for me though, because where God calls, He provides.
