I really like it here in Malaysia.  It has definitely
been an experience that is for sure.  It is really hot here but thank goodness it gets cool during the nights.  Right now we are living in a hotel down the road from the center we work at.  We have beds, hot showers and air-conditioning.  These are such luxaries to us now, we are so thankful to have them.
Ministry is a lot of fun.  We work with Mr. K and Mrs. J at their English Center.  We spend our days teaching English to anyone from the age of 4 to 40.
The part of Malaysia we are in is what we would consider a closed section.  This means that we are not able to speak the name of Jesus here.  We have to talk in code when we are in town.  When we are asked what we are doing we are not allowed to tell people that we are missionaries.  When asked we tell people that we are trainers from America here to teach English and that we have been invited by Mr. K.  We have to be very aware of our tounge and our speach.  You may be thinking how do we share the love of Jesus without speaking his name.  Let me tell you, your actions speak louder then words.  Someone can see a difference in you just by your smile.
Yesterday our contact took us on a tour of town in the van that we have named Molly.  We got to see the oldest temple in Malaysia and we got to explore some caves.  The cave we explored was actually a temple, it was really cool.  The van had been giving us some trouble earlier in the week and we thought it was fixed.  We were on our way home and we all had to get out of the van because the van could not make it up the hill with all the weight.  We get back in and here comes the next hill and we do the same thing except we are at the top of the hill waiting for the van but the van is not moving.  Mr. K. motions for us to come back because he needs help pushing the van up the hill.  We all get behind the van and start pushing the van up the hill and to the side.  Our van was officially broken down out in the middle of nowhere HaHa!  Our contact called a friend who came to pick us up to take us back to our hotel.
We have two weeks left here in Malaysia!  I can’t believe how fast time is flying.  The race will be over beofre I know it which is why I am trying to soak everything in and take advantage of the time that I do have.
Love
Jaime
