God is Definately showing off this month. We have had many hand of God moments this month but there are 2 big ones that have left an impact on me. I am loving Thailand! This month is Manistry Month for the men of our squad which means it is also womanistry month HaHa! All of our men are at one location while the women are spread throughout Thailand. My team is in a small village out in the middle of no where Thailand close to Chiayaphum. Our contacts are awesome we have a lagit place to stay amazing food, what else could we ask for? We have been so blessed this month it is crazy. This month we are working at schools teaching Enchlish and doing assembly’s, and running English camps. We have several and I mean several Christmas and New Year parties that we have to attend and perform at. It has been such a good month so far. We have 2 weeks left until we will be reunited with our men and be off to Cambodia. Our contacts Nun and Raem have been praying and praying for a team to come in December. Remember we were suppose to be in thailand month 4, but because of the floods we had to get rerouted to The Philippines. If our route had not got changed they would not have a team here this month. You see God has placed us exactly where we need to be at the right timing. God has a plan and a purpose not just for me but for everyone. God heard their prayer and answered it 🙂 The other day we had to be up at 8am for breakfast. We set my alarm for 7:59am. The alarm goes off and Peggy who is my leader for the month gets up and yells at all of us, “Get up we have to get up!” Peggy leaves for the restroom and I am still in the room awake making sure people are getting up. All of a sudden my team is yelling at me, “It is only 7am!!” I said, “No it’s not it is 8am!” Then I happened to grab my watch and what do you know they were right it was only 7am we had another hour to sleep HaHa! I went outside and told Peggy and she was like, “Oh my goodness I am going to go back to bed.” Raem invited us to go to the market with her so since we were up we went. On the way home from the market Nun says, “Elephant, elephant!” Peggy and I thought it was a statue or something until we looked straight ahead and saw a live elephant walking down the road. Keep in mind elephants dont live around here, they are several hours away and one just happened to be walking down the road of our village. Nun drives past the elephant and pulls over, he then gets out and talks to the guy ridding the elephant he gets back in the truck and we continued driving. Raem our translator told us that the elephant was coming to the house. We were so excited and kept it a secret until it was standing in the yard. We brought our teammates out with their eyes closed and suprised them big time. We have all been kind of upsetdisappointed that we would not get to see an elephant this month in the country you get to. God woke me and Peggy up early so that we would go to the market and see the elephant and bring it back to the house. It has definately been an adventure here and I am jumping with joy to see what else God will do in our last 2 weeks. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog 🙂 Love Jaime
