I can’t believe that I forgot to tell you one of the most exciting most hilarious things that happened to me while I was in Uganda. It was our last Sunday in Uganda and the church was sending us off in the afternoon with a worship service. All month I had been hanging out with the host family and friends. At some point during the month I learned the traditional Ugandan dance which is called chigandan. Pastor happened to catch a glimpse of me dancing in the kitchen and told me that I would be dancing at church. I thought that he was just joking at the time but I should have known better. During this sending off service Pastor called up Crystal first and she sang a childrens song that she has learned in their local language of lugandan. Then I was called up and Pastor said before Jaime dances she is going to count to 10 in lugandan. Which by the way I was a student one day in a first grade class and learned how to count to 10 in lugandan 🙂 Then I danced the traditional dance in front of I don’t know how many people. Before I started one of my Ugandan friends named Evelyn wrapped a scarf around my waste. The traditional dance has a lot of hip movement so I was up there shaking what the good Lord gave me. I danced in place and managed to dance around in a circle then when I turned back to the crowd people started coming up with money in hand placing in the scarf that was wrapped around my waste. This was so hilarious to me HaHa. I made 3,400 Ugandan shillings that night which comes to about $2.00 which to most people in Uganda would be a lot of money. They also called the rest of the team up individually to do something. I have video of this and I will post it very soon so that you can share in the moment with me. For me to continue for the full 11 months of the world race I need to raise about $3800 more. I want you to know that God is teaching me so much and opening my eyes and my heart so much even just in 3 months. I am still processing a lot of it and am sharing with you what God is teaching me as I get it processed. I urge you to pray about supporting me financially. If you would like to do so you can click the support me financially link to the left of the screen. Thank you to everyone who has financially supported me this far. God is using me in unbelievable ways. God has a plan for me and He wants to use me around the world…I am ready and willing to do whatever He asks of me. Love Jaime
