¡Hola de España!
I’ve been at G42 Leadership Academy for one month and wanted to share a little about what my time has been like thus far. I decided to attend G42 in June 2013, a month after I got home from the World Race. God made it very clear to me there was something about G42 He wanted me to be a part of; I just wasn’t sure what it was. As I set out on my flights to London, Madrid, and finally Malaga, I had a peace I was moving in the right direction. As I walked into my new house, Casa de Sueños, it felt like home. After dinner, my roommates and I walked to another house down the road to meet all of the other interns and have worship together. After one month, I can say I’m overjoyed everyday that God has me in this place with these people at this time. It’s a beautiful season of life and a great place to experience it in. Thank you for taking the time to follow me in my pursuit of the dreams God has placed in me.
Daily life here consists of class from 9:30 to 4:00, with a break for lunch, Monday through Thursday. We have dinner together as a house (occasionally with staff members and teachers) Sunday through Friday and take turns cooking every week. There are 3 houses with a total of 24 interns this semester. We have a girls’ night every Monday and community dinner with all three houses and local people from the community once a week. The weekends are free to do what you like – go for a hike, go to the beach, go climbing, visit another town, read, reflect, and enjoy life in Spain.

Christ with skin on. Inheritance. Authority. Holy Spirit. Jesus is free but Christ will cost you everything. Tribe. Love God and do what you want. These are a few of the common words and phrases you will hear at G42. I’m learning about these things as well as being challenged and inspired to put vision to action. To start moving even though my dreams aren’t clear and specific. G42 is a tribe of people who commit to discipling and equipping you to love God and do what you want. Start a business, build a non-profit, plant a church, or find something that stirs you deep within and do it. For me, I’m passionate about discipleship, awakening people’s hearts to Christ in them, and bringing freedom to places that need the love of Jesus.
G42 is a place of freedom and community. Community is the body of Christ- men and women who walk alongside each other learning, challenging, and encouraging one other to do the impossible with Christ as the center. We eat together, laugh together, cry together, sing together, workout together, clean together, travel together. Community is what God designed our spirits for. When we are isolated, our spirit runs dry because we are not giving away what we have received. G42 is a place of doing things excellent. Whatever you do, do it well. Whether making your bed, cleaning your house, or cooking dinner, it should all be done with excellence. If we don’t take care of ourselves and the everyday tasks of life, how are we going to go out and bring the kingdom of God to the chaos? Start your day well and go out and do what God has called you to do. Do that thing with passion and purpose- knowing, remembering, and declaring Christ’s authority and power in you.
