  1. My name is Jacob, yet everyone calls me Jake.
  2. Home is San Jose, California.
  3. I am the youngest of 5 children.
  4. I am a runner and am hoping to qualify for the Boston Marathon by age 30.
  5. I am an avid traveler, have been backpacking through Europe, been to Israel, and Peru. The goal is 30 countries by age 30. So far I have hit 14.
  6. When I graduated high school, I said the last thing I wanted to do was become a teacher. I am now a teacher. I also said, if I became a teacher I would not want to teach young children. I have been teaching 2nd grade for 3 years now and love it.
  7. I like to read.
  8. I am a football addict and I’m okay with that.
  9. I am noticing that I have a lot of goals revolving around me turning 30.
  10. I am not a fan of the American Dream. The idea of living life trying to get as much stuff as possible before you die does not sit well with me.
  11. I love helping people and feel like Christ has called me to give my life away to others.
