I’ve been so blessed by all the support I have received over the last year as I prepared for and embarked on The World Race. Thanks to all the prayers and financial support you all have so graciously offered I have been able to gain a broader Kingdom perspective and to love and serve the church around the world.
It’s often difficult for me to bring you a true understanding of the way that your support has had an impact in all the places we have visited. This past month, however, we were able to bless the village where we ministered in a very concrete way.
One day we threw a Mexican fiesta for a village of Romanian gypsies, many of whom have never left the area in which they were born. We bought and grilled 50 kilos of pork, we made homemade flour tortillas, and we had a group of young Christians come from a few towns over to play live music. It was a great time for the community to come together in fellowship. Each of the four teams in Ville Tecii donated 100 dollars from its budget to put on the party. Those are dollars that came from you, the supporters. We, the missionaries you sent grilled the meat, and made the tortillas, and played the music. This month in Romania your love was felt.
Below are some pictures. While we wish all of you could have been there with us in body, know that you were loved and remembered in spirit.
Below the pictures, you’ll also find Abby’s video of our time in Romania.
Most of the town showed up for free food.
Ben and I helped our host, John Fracker, cut, grill, and chop the pork.
Braedon rocked the mic (like a vandal).
He also got to join in with the locals.
The children had their first experiences bobbing for apples and whacking a pinata.
