I am very close to reaching my goal of $13,800 in cash and pledges that I need to complete the World Race.  Many of you have been generous and sacrificial in your giving to make this happen.  You are all amazing.

I just read a blog post by my friend and teammate Ian Schumann is who not as fortunate to have such a wonderful community of believers around him.  He was accepted to the Race just two weeks before our training camp and comes from a Jewish family.  His options for support raising are a bit more limited than they are for most of the Racers.  To be able to leave on time with us, just as I do, he needs $6900 in his support account.  He’s just under $6000 short right now.

Check out his blog to hear his heart.  He’s a pretty amazing dude.  I can’t wait to learn from him and with him in this next year (he’s a linguistics major and I love words).  He’s going to be a heck of a rock for our team.  I could go on, but I’d prefer you just read his blog.  I’ve got a link to him on the bottom-left of my blog page with the rest of my teammates.

As always when supporting any ministry, I hope you’ll ask God where He wants you to be giving, then just be obedient.  I know Ian is called to be on this team and I know God will provide however he sees fit.
