Today, marks my six month anniversary back in the states. I started to reflect on how God has brought me to the place to where I am now. Looking back, a lot has happened in those months from being back from the world race. It completely wrecked me for the ordinary, and now that I am back in America, I can’t help but want to do something extraordinary with my life.
I have been given a opportunity to live out a dream of mine. This past January, I started a program called Center for Global Action (CGA).
What is the CGA?
The Center for Global Action at Adventures in Missions is the home for the Apprentice Program. The Apprentice Program is a launching pad dedicated to holistic development through community, discipleship, and apprenticeship.
The CGA exists to activate a generation in their Kingdom role.
This dream that I’m so passionate about is helping young college men to rise up, to be empowered, to take responsibility for their lives, and to live passionately for the Kingdom of God.
During my college years, I did not take my faith seriously and was living a passive life. I feel like I wasted those years, but now I know God was preparing me for this season to help young men that are searching for more in this world.
Through my apprenticeship, I have a great opportunity to develop a new, unique men’s ministry. This ministry would be focusing on discipling young men through road trips across America.
So what is the vision?
The vision is to have a group of 6 guys travel around in a bus to parks like Yosemite, Arches National, Appalachian Trail and Glacier National. Along with getting out of their hometown and exploring the natural beauty of America, we would incorporate outdoor activities to build character through endurance and physical strength, such as hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, etc. Basically, we want to challenge young men to be uncomfortable so that they can grow and rise up as men of God.
Another key ingredient to help push these young men physically, emotionally and spiritually would be serving and partnering with ministries around the United States. Selflessness is the very basis of our faith and I truly believe it is vital to raise up men that have a heart for serving. Getting men outside their naturally selfish ways and into the community to serve will unlock unmeasurable joy within their souls. Young men will see life in a whole new perspective and hopefully live a life of virtue, truth, and love in Christ.
If you are interested in helping me move my trip down the road (see what I did there?), please consider partnering with me to raise the remaining $1,000 to complete my appretice/disciplship program here at Adventure in Missions. All donations are tax-deductible. Separately, if you have a desire towards helping me financially buy a bus, or if you have any thougths, questions, or connections that would enhance the trip, let me know and I would love to work with you. Thank you so much.
