Miss Jones

Besides my salvation, and love from family and friends, this is the best gift I have ever received. This gift was given from a great godly women, that was just obeying His request. How wonderful this gift was but it took a great sacrifice. See I’m about to tell you an amazing story about a young lady that felt led to support me.

I met Miss Jones through a group of friends that meet every week to hang out, ask questions and grow together in Christ. One night, we gathered around the tube to watch  some sort of movie. After twenty minutes or so everyone attention span drifted away. Seeing that no one was paying attention to the movie, Miss Jones’s friend asked me to share my testimony. So I did very happily because my story is not really mine. I’m just a character in God’s book, thats their to help/love other people in His novel.

Several months have gone by after telling how God has shaped my life to those friends. Many more hang outs have occurred by this time. Some over the dinner table with laughter and several around a bonfire on a crisp fall night enjoying the embers flicker while sharing stories about our child hood. Remember I said we ask questions. One evening my question to Miss Jones was what is your biggest fear? She said “ I’m afraid of not becoming a mom.” Miss Jones told me that she might have some issues with having children. Since of hearing the news that she might not have kids, She has been saving up money for adoption. A couple of days before telling my testimony Miss Jones just got finished with reading  “Radical” by David Platt. At the end of the book it ask you to make a sacrifice. Miss Jones’s sacrifice was the money that she had been saving for her future child. I was blown away! Words could not describe how I felt. Thank you Miss Jones and may God bless you for being obedient. I asked a man one time. What was the most significant thing he has learned in his life? He simply answered with OBEY AND TRUST IN GOD. I pray that we all obey Gods will.
