Meet Dacey.
We were actually roommates at launch. And I didn’t know much about her then. I mean, I honestly didn’t know many people at the beginning of this adventure. But as the race goes on I’m getting to know some really incredible people. I’d like a introduce you to my friend Dacey. She is one of the raised up squad leaders.
Squad leaders are put with us to help lead us not only in Christ but also in our lives. We were blessed to have really great Alumni Squad Leaders (post coming soon). Because they are only on the field for the first 5 months of the race they appoint Raised Up squad Leaders to help with the last 6 months. As one of the 4 very capable raised ups, Dacey, is with us this month.
Because I didn’t know much about her coming into this month I was a little apprehensive about her being with us. But I have learned so much about this woman in the few weeks we’ve been together. She is a bomb softball player. I mean she got scholarships and everything for her gift. Dacey also has this thing with kids. They just gravitate to her like a magnet.
The best thing I can tell you about her is that she also has an undeniable love for Jesus. She is pushing me to connect with the Holy Spirit in a way I’ve never experienced. I am so thankful that God has put her where she is at the time He did it.
Why am I writing this blog about her? It’s because she has been such a blessing to me and I want to bless her with my network. She is still raising support** and when you read her blog, Dacey Hassey (pw-readme77). you will learn that she does not like asking for help. This is one of the lessons the Lord is teaching her on the race. She needs only $2814 to be fully funded. I know that she needs to be here and without the rest of the funds there is potential she will be sent home.
